Garden Route Waterproofing Services
OUR SERVICES
Your home and/or business is a valuable asset – as such, choosing ‘cheap’ solutions to water-and damp proofing issues always ends up costing more in the long term.
So, whether it’s a new build, or attention to existing problem areas, we have the right product/s, and experienced and trained staff to bring peace of mind to any type of water/damp problem.
Waterproofing
Waterproofing from your basement to your roof and every aspect in between.
Waterproofing is essential for protecting buildings against water damage, enhancing structural integrity, and preventing health issues. It extends the lifespan of critical building materials, reduces energy costs and prevents costly repairs
Materials include cementitious, liquid (rubber) solutions, bituminous membranes, crystalline mortar, aqueous silane injection creams, and involve multiple methods such as grading, drainage systems, roofing features and waterproof membranes.
Always consult a professional and accredited waterproofer, irrespective of whether you’re undertaking a new build or have persistent issues with water ingress, damp (rising and lateral), inside or outside.
Dampproofing
When interior surfaces (walls, skirtings) show signs of water damage and it’s not possible to treat the ‘positive’ (outside) surface/s, then dampproofing methodology can transform your damp and clammy garage, cellar, man-cave into a dry, fully utilisable area. We do DPC injections, re-plastering, the whole nine yards!
Retaining Walls
On a new build, we address the ‘positive’ (exterior) side of the wall. Architects generally do specify a ‘belts and braces’ type application; as this section ends up being below the natural ground level, it is vital to not only apply the product correctly, but to use the best membrane the client/builder can afford. Retaining walls are generally: Stand-alone garden walls, basements, cellars, underground parking, etc.
Showers and Door Thresholds
With new builds, the shower floor(base) as well as walls and opening door thresholds must be waterproofed during construction. Ingres, both laterally and into the floor slab occurs when these aspects are overlooked. Methodology usually involves a cementitious slurry and fibremesh membrane or in the case of timber walls and floor, the use of a cold-applied peel and stick membrane is best suited. We also specialise in repairs to these types of areas where waterproofing has either failed or was never applied.
Balconies, Decks, and Flat Roof areas
There are many aspects of flat roofs, balconies and decks – the ‘slope/fall’ is a big consideration – a good builder will have tested these once the screed, etc has been laid, to ensure that water flows to the outlets. Drainage points (full-bore outlets, weep holes, gutters, downpipes) are all integral parts of the bigger drainage picture.
Planter Boxes
Planter Boxes take on all shapes and forms – some are made/built with brick and mortar, concrete or even timber. We have the correct and long-term solution for every scenario.
